iMpact Human Resource Consulting partners with businesses and organizations, utilizing the many years of experience of its ten member group. iMpact has served over 70 public and private sector organizations throughout the U.S. since its beginning in 1996. Our goals are to: enhance organizational effectiveness by maximizing the impact of the human resource; provide cutting edge employee and leadership development learning experiences; and minimize human resource related legal risk for our partner organizations.


Founded by Marsha McKinnie Davis, SPHR, MAIR, CWM iMpact is based in Orlando, Florida and also has offices in Wisconsin and Minneapolis. Marsha McKinnie Davis has over thirty years of human resources and general management experience in public, non-profit, and private sectors in a variety of industries. She received her Masters in Industrial Relations (MAIR) at the University of Minnesota and her BS degree from St. Louis University. The Society of Human Resources Management awarded her its Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation with distinction. In addition to running iMpact, she has served on the adjunct faculty of the MBA in Human Resources program at the University of St. Thomas in the Twin Cities. Marsha is also a Certified Workplace Mediator.

 

Stan Davis, COO and General Counsel


Stan Davis joins iMpact HR as Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel. Stan has experience as a lawyer and as a manager.  He has worked as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Wisconsin, as a litigator in large law firms, and as Deputy Chief of Staff and Chief Legal Counsel to the Governor of the State of Wisconsin.  As Deputy Chief of Staff, Stan was responsible for the day to day operations of the Governor's 40 person Capitol office as well as his Milwaukee and Washington, D.C. offices. 

At iMpact, Stan will manage the business operations, focus on client service and development, and handle iMpact's legal matters.  Stan is also an adjunct professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Law.  He received his B.S. from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse where he played on the first NCAA Division III championship football team. His JD is from the National Law Center of The George Washington University.

Jackie Cooper: Senior Consultant


Jackie has partnered with iMpact HR Consulting for over 7 years on a professional basis as both facilitator and consultant. She has presented training programs on behalf of iMpact at several organizations spanning a number of industries.  Her work is routinely described as "engaging, knowledgeable and provocative" by participants. She is certified to facilitate a number of iMpact programs.

Jackie has 25 years of experience as a human resource generalist with a firm grounding in staffing and the AA/EEO/Diversity arenas. During her very successful career she has held positions such as: Director of Diversity Development at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Director of Affirmative Action and Diversity Development at the Metro Waste Control Commission in St. Paul, Manager of Affirmative Action at the Metro Transit Commission in Minneapolis. She has served as a St. Paul Human Rights Commissioner and also worked in various positions within that department for 10 years. Jackie consults and facilitates throughout the country. She has her BS from Central State University in Ohio and her Masters from the University of Minnesota.

Jackye Whitner: Senior Consultant


Certified as a facilitator in the Dialogues conflict management process, Jackye brings an extensive, varied career in both public and private sector.  Currently an administrator in an Adult Basic Education Program in the Twin Cities, she has also served as a union officer in the Minneapolis Library system.  Her areas of specialty are career assessment and multi-cultural conflict management. Among the many awards she has received over her lengthy career are: the Minneapolis Public Library Directors Award for developing an alternative dispute resolution system in the workplace; University of Wisconsin – River Falls Woman of Color Award; and the Learner-Contributor Award from the Minnesota Association for Continuing Adult Education.

Of all of her life experiences she has been most influenced by her involvement in the Civil Rights Movement’s Voter Registration drives in Mississippi, the March on Washington, the march from Selma to Montgomery and the Million Women March in Philadelphia. She also served a tour in the Peace Corps. Jackye’s B.A. in Ethnic Studies and M.S. in Counseling Psychology are both from UW-River Falls.  She is also an Alumna of Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi.
